School Business Manager

About the Role

Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Full Time, 35 hours a week
Number of Positions: 1
Salary: £39,186 - £43,421 per annum
Start Date: 1st November 2024
 
We are delighted to announce a vacancy for a School Business Manager on a permanent contract.
 
 

Overview of key elements of Job Description

  • Financial Management: Oversee the school's budget, including planning, monitoring, and reporting to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage exciting projects that contribute to the school's development, including capital projects and initiatives to improve the school’s facilities and services.
  • Health and Safety: Supporting the Headteacher so that all health and safety regulations are met, conducting regular risk assessments and maintaining a safe environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
  • HR and Personnel Management: Support the recruitment processes, staff contracts, and personnel records, ensuring compliance with employment law and school policies.
  • Administration Oversight: Lead the school’s administrative functions, including the management of the school office, handling communications, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities.

  • A diploma in School Business Management (Desirable)
 

About You:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an primary educational setting.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial planning.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with staff, pupils, parents, and external partners.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the school.
